Distilled from the Trebbiano grape; the secrets of distilling this brandy were closely guarded by the descendants of the Medicis until they were passed on to the master distiller, the French Jean Bouton, whose family formed the first great Italian distilling company in 1820. Today it is part of the Leading Italian independent spirits Company, having in its portfolio Vecchia Romagna & Amaro Montenegro: the two largest selling spirits in Italy. Vecchia Romagna is closely linked to the Italian way of life, to its sun, & the unique cultural heritage, presented from the outset of its highly original bottle & the label depicting the Roman god, Baccus. Vecchia Romagna Riserva 10 years old is produced with the Charentais method. Served in large brandy glasses & warmed slowly in your hands, it is a sophisticated pleasure for connoisseurs & perfect as an important gift for special occasions.
