Here we find all the signs of a great terroir southeast exposure, plots of mid-hills & high hills (360-410 m) particularly poor & broken, very draining soil & rock thin & flush.. . yields naturally limited (less than 35 hl / ha). Slopes require only manual work. A cup of driving stakes (as in Cote Rotie example) responds to strong sun exposure. The granite stones, flush, play a crucial role here: the heat accumulated by the rocks exposed to the sun is returned in the evening to reach a good maturity, slow & deep, combining richness, freshness & silky tannins. The roble intense, with beautiful violet violet hues. Nose, complex & delightful, book notes of raisins reached a good maturity, with flavours of black fruits such as blackberry, black cherry or blueberry. The notes of fruit, peony & elegant touches of spice. The tannins are melted & silky. Long aromatic persistence gives the wine a greedy character. This wine reveals its fragmented land of birth & imposes its requirements. It expresses the finesse & elegance of Cru Fleurie in a subtle balance between concentration & minerality, freshness & aromatic complexity.
