Our 2013 1st Flush Darjeeling from the Phoobsering Garden has a neat, greenish, well-twisted leaf with silvery tips & a fresh, sweet, slightly citrusy aroma. It is light, clear & bright in the cup with pronounced floral notes. This high quality tea comes from one of the oldest plantations in the Darjeeling West valley. Named after its first supervisor, Phoob Tshering, the tea garden ranges from 3, 000 to 6, 500 ft in altitude. The leaves used to make this exquisite tea have been plucked from the special clonal tea bushes in the highest part of the tea garden. This 1st flush Darjeeling Tea is the perfect accompaniment to an ‘afternoon tea’ of light bites, though nothing too strong as to overpower the tea.
