Along the length of each exotic arching stem, Solomon's Seal bears droplets of creamy-white flowers hanging beneath wing-like leaves. It's a fine sight in early spring, & it grows in deep-shaded woodland where most other plants would struggle to survive. Polygonatum biflorum is a great choice for a shady border, & looks good planted amongst hostas, ferns & hellebores.
