Salvia are easy going, hardy plants for mixed borders. With its indigo flower spears emerging from clumps of aromatic foliage, Salvia nemorosa Marcus produces flowers so prolific that they create drifts of solid colour. Salvia plants are attractive to bees & butterflies but are not so welcoming to rabbits or deer. Salvia Marcus are compact plants so will make a strong statement at the front of cottage garden borders & wildlife gardens. To prolong the flowering give the plants a quick trim in midsummer.
