The only SAFE carbon clincher rim, built to perfection. This rim was developed in co-operation with Gigantex of Taiwan to be the first full carbon clincher in the world that allows maximum pressure in the tyres, where all other alternatives restrict the pressure you can inflate your tyres to. The braking surfaced is lowered & uses impregnated Basalt to deflect any heat generated under braking which can cause the tyre to roll of due to deflection in the rim. When coupled with the unique Pro-Lite spoke made from Swedish Stainless Steel, you have a combination that is everything the rider needs. During tests using several Pro riders, we used a power meter set at 300 watts of power over 50km & the results were amazing. The result was an average faster time over 50km of 89.2 seconds. (please note: rim only, hub & spokes not included) What were also consistent were the comments riders made after each test. The phrase “those wheels feel really fast” was repeated many times. It became evident that lighter rims flex far too much under maximum load by the rider & weight saving does have its disadvantages, that being the rim flexes far too much causing the rider to waste far more power to maintain the same speed & therefore a Pro-Lite rim allows the rider to maximise the power output & actually go faster using the same amount of power.
