Gorgeous spiky foliage & truly spectacular flower heads. Flowers June-August. x zabellii Big Blue
- Large 10cm (4) diameter electric blue blooms on thick spiky green foliage. Ideal for cutting. Height 84cm (33'); spread 66cm (26). Supplied in a 9cm pot. Adrian Bloom says... Eryngium Big Blue is a spectacular perennial for a sunny, well drained spot in the garden, with spiny serrated leaves at the base from which strong green-blue stems emerge. The best is yet to come as the erect stems turn the deepest blue, with cobalt blue bracts & cones creating stunning flower heads, just loved by bumblebees. Plant next to a golden flowered perennial such as Coreopsis or Helenium.
