Bushy, upright-growing plants with fine, pointed leaves, which are ideal for growing in a mixed ornamental border as well as in the fruit garden. The heavy crops of berries start out bright green, turning pale pink & finally, when they mature in August/ September, deep rose-pink. They have a delicious sweet taste, with a pleasant, solid texture & are superb eaten fresh or cooked in puddings & pies. Height after 7-10 years, Approx. 1.5m (5'). Supplied in a 1.3 litre pot. The extraordinary varieties (bar Pear Schweizerhose), have been bred by Lubera, a Swiss nursery owned by Markus Kobelt. He is passionate about fruit, & continually strives to create new & enhanced varieties that are easier to cultivate (all will thrive in the UK climate), more resistant to disease & always better-tasting too.
