Indoor azaleas are grown & well known for their flamboyant, frilled blooms that will brighten up any space in an instant. Unlike their hardy cousins, these compact & neat evergreen shrubs will need bright light & frost-free conditions. Therefore, they are perfect for a cool porch, north facing window, or conservatory! Grow indoor Azaleas in a cool room with a temperature of between 13C (55F) to 16C (60F) with good humidity. Choose a brightly lit position & be sure to avoid warm, dry conditions as this will cause the plants to deteriorate rapidly. Be sure to water frequently with rainwater if possible as this will help to maintain an evenly moist compost. Feed it regularly between March & September when they are in active growth. Azaleas will benefit from regular misting to increase humidity also. After flowering, deadhead the fading & dying blooms & transfer to a shaded spot outdoors when all risk of frost has passed. Then by the end of September return to their position indoors to avoid any damage due to frost.
