Courvoisier L' Essence was the legacy left behind from Courvoisier fifth master blender, Jean-Marc Olivier. It is a blend of harmony from the most rare & prestigious eaux-de-vie from the last two centuries. These extremely rare cognacs are reserves taken from the Grande Champagne & Borderies crus, which date back to the early 1900 & add a great deal of depth to the L' Essence harmony. The blend is then completed with cognacs that are taken from the later twentieth century marking the innovations in distillation & barrel making that Courvoisier experienced. The stopper used in the L' Essence de Courvoisier was inspired by Napoleon Bonaparte, who would bestow unique imperial signet rings on his most courageous commanders to motivate them on to even greater victories.
