Ian started experimenting with ice tea recipes at his kitchen table in 2009, after being inspired by the refreshing drink in his wife's native Atlanta, Georgia. Ian noticed that ice tea was enjoyed widely around the world, but was still a growing trend in the UK. A keen mixologist, he started to form recipes & began experimenting with different teas & flavours to create a grown-up version with a British twist. Harry Brompton's can be enjoyed simply from the bottle with a wedge of lime or as an ingredient in cocktails such as Harry's Tea & Toast, famously created by Ian. Ian says: I wanted to make an ice tea that British people can be proud of, one that really tastes like tea! The character of tea is similar to the grapes in wine, the flavours are influenced by the elevation of the garden, soil quality, the weather & of course, the quality of the picking. We use our special blend of the finest black teas grown over two thousand metres above sea level in the deep rich soils of Kenya's Great Rift Valley.
