Mackillops Choice Linlithgow 1982 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Lowland region of Scotl&. It was distilled on the 5th of October 1982 & bottled in April 2011 at cask strength giving it an age of 28 years. Linlithgow whiskies were distilled at the St Magdalene distillery but in 1983 the distillery was closed & the whisky was bottled under the Mackillops Choice Label. On the eye the Mackillops Choice Linlithgow 1982 is a pale gold colour, with a light, elegant, floral nose with hints of pecan & vegetation. The palate is fresh & graceful with a very poised body. It has some sweet tones to it but the floral notes really come through on the tongue. The finish is long & well-designed with slight dry sensation to it. ...

Mackillops Choice Mortlach sherry wood 1989 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the always popular Speyside region. Distilled at the Mortlach distillery on the first of September 1989 & bottled at cask strength in March 2012, which gives this whisky an age statement of 22 years old. Each bottle has an individual hand written bottle number & states what casks it was taken from. The whisky is matured in casks that previously held sherry which is evident when you smell & taste the whisky. On the nose you can detect soft malt & cinnamon, acacia, honey & figs. The palate is very straightforward & easy going. It is medium bodied with flavours of fresh fruit, including peach, plum & thick malt with date & walnut loaf.
