Mortlach is the oldest distillery in Dufftown having been founded in 1823, it pre dates the next one (Glenfiddich) by over 4 decades. Currently owned by Diageo the whisky from Mortlach has mainly been used within their extensive range of blends such as Johnnie Walker Black Label. Luckily however Mortlach has now been relaunched as its own single malt with new look bottles that were inspired by the Victorian origins of the br&. The Mortlach 25 year old is the oldest of the expressions released as part of Mortlach's re-launch & is a very classy whisky that showcases the history of Speyside with every sip. It is presented in a elegant bottle that looks more like a decanter than a bottle & will look at home anywhere.
