It was in 1896 that Mathew Gloag created his first type of Whisky. He named it Grouse rather than after him because it was the most famous bird in Scotl&. It wasn't until 1905 that they added the word Famous bird in the brand name. The Famous Grouse is a blend of high quality grain & malt whiskies. The aroma is light yet crisp, of freshly cut flowers. Balanced on the palate with bursting flavours of spice, caramel & a touch of smoke. The finish is of fresh velvety caramel with sweetness. The Snow Grouse is a grain scotch whisky that is best served in severely cold conditions.
