Yep that’s right. The little ones will actually be driving these hulking great cars from the US of A. Forget pootling around in a teeny hatchback your car-mad teens will be revving up the V8s to go whizzing around a race track in these very powerful muscle cars.

So what do youngsters need to do to be able to drive these amazing muscle cars? Amazingly no previous driving experience is necessary. They just have to be at least 4ft 10” (that’s 147cm if you’re metric) & aged between 11 & 18 years...and that’s it!

Before you think the operators must either be brave or stupid to let kids drive these flash & expensive cars it’s a comfort to know they are all dual-controlled. That means your mini motorists shouldn’t be getting themselves into any sticky situations out there.

It’s also worth mentioning that there’s always an instructor in the front passenger seat & they’ll be patient with the children whilst motivating them to get the very best out of their pre-adult driving skills. Hoo Farm near Telford is home to a whole host of animals from furry mammals to scaly reptiles. They all very much have their own characters habits & things they like to do. The keepers know their animals really well so they'll be able to tell you all about them during the visit. Things start off pretty scaley & slippery in the reptile house. Who you get to meet in here depends on the day but you might be introduced to the likes of Mojo the Burmese Python or the resident Reticulated Python. Then there's the Giant Tortoise & Monitor Lizard who looks like a miniature dinosaur. The cute factor steps up a notch when you visit the hedgehog enclosure. Kids will be shown how to handle the hedgehogs (which can be done even if they are spiky!) & may meet the Tenrecs too. These are long-nosed little mammals from Madagascar who love to sleep. Time for a bit of feeding next as those lovely Lemurs are always hungry. The Lemur Forest is home to several Lemurs easily recognisable with their long ringed tails grey coats white bib & 'panda' eyes. A highlight for many of the youngsters on this zookeeper experience is meeting the Meerkats. These adorable creatures live in clans looking out for & protecting each other.
