A short sharp blast of Segway riding that'll getting you weaving around the obstacles with ease! It'll be Segway fun all the way with these 30 minute riding sessions at your choice of circuit venue. Let's see if you can handle the gyroscopic giddiness of these crazy little electric vehicles. If you've never even seen a Segway before you're sure to raise an eyebrow when you clap eyes on one for the first time. They sort of look like something from a sci-fi film that's not quite real. After all how can you travel on a little board with wheels like that let along whizz up & down an undulating off road trail? Well funnily enough the answer is in the science of it all. We're talking gyroscopes & Lean Steer technology which makes riding the Segway as simple as 1 2 3 apparently. Having said that you will need a little start up session to familiarise yourself with the Segways so you can get used to the rather supernatural feeling of gliding along. If you've never ridden one before you're sure to be a little bit wobbly to begin with but within minutes most newbie Segwayers are spinning around on their own axis with aplomb & having a lot of fun so it's time to head off on the track. Of course we're not talking about riding around on the actual tarmac race track on your Segway. With a max speed of around 12mph you won't be as quick as all the sports cars out there going considerably faster. Instead this operator has created purpose-built Segway routes around the perimeter areas of these track venues complete with all the bumps hills dips & drops you can wish for. As you'll be equipped with an X2 Seg that's to say one of the specially adapted cross-country models you'll be able to tackle this tricky terrain no problem but just in case all the safety gear you need is provided. In essence Segway riding is great fun & these 30 minute sessions ensure you get to test the personal transporter & your own Segwaying skills to the max. ...

See the sights on a Personal Transporter with this Segway Tour in Fort William! & when we say tour it's not your average sightseeing jaunt. You will be riding your Segway around the paths & walkways on the Dragon's Tooth golf course estate just off the main A828 between Oban & Fort William. The Dragon's Tooth estate gets its name from the snowy peak of the same name which is part of the Glencoe mountain range. We think there's nowhere more atmospheric to go segwaying than under the looming forms of these majestic hills around Fort William. The estate leads straight down to the loch giving you the simply breathtaking backdrop of those imposing mountains & glistening water for your experience. & yes plenty of stops will be made during your Seg tour so you can take pictures. Of course you will need to be proficient at handling these machines before you can go anywhere. That's why this experience starts with a training session on a designated teaching area. These very special lunch cruise & View from the Shard packages will get you going up high & going with the flow on the Thames! We can't think of a better way to see London than with an informal three course meal on the river & a trip to visit inside the capital's tallest building. The timings for your day are very flexible. All you have to do is plan your outing around the luncheon cruise & you can enjoy your panoramic high-rise vistas either before or after your trip down the Thames. We think the best plan is a leisurely voyage into the capital in the morning to do the boat followed by the Shard. Wander along from Embankment tube to the jetty where the impressive 'bateau mouche' style boat will be waiting for you. These modern cruisers have large panoramic windows so no matter where you are seated you'll be able to see all the main landmarks & sights as you glide gracefully past. You'll see how the Thames 'works' with the large number of leisure craft water taxis & even the occasional tall ship all sharing the waters all watched over by the Marine Police Force. Then there are the bridges. Famous landmarks in their own right (remember the Olympic rings on Tower Bridge?) it's really quite special to slide right underneath these iconic structures that link the north & south shores of the Thames. & of course you get a prime view of all the famous buildings along the shoreline & beyond too including Canary Wharf St Paul's the Globe Theatre Tate Modern & so much more. Don't worry if you don't know one bridge from another or couldn't pinpoint the Oxo tower on a map. After you've enjoyed your meal the return leg of your cruise is commentated so you won't miss anything. But your lunch cruise experience doesn't end there
- there's the view from the Shard bit too as you head back over the river to London Bridge. It's truly superb to get yet another different perspective on the capital as fancy high-speed lifts take you up to 244m above ground level for a vertiginous view of London. On a clear day you can see way beyond the capital & into the Home Counties but the best is looking down on life as it happens right below you
- it's seriously mesmerising!

Gorgeous glamping in lovely Lancashire! This little hamlet of h&-crafted shepherd's huts is ready to welcome you on a one or two-night break for up to four people. Time to pack your bag & go to this delightful corner of the country! These glamping huts are nestled together in a rather unique location. Mid-way between Preston & Blackburn you'll find Samlesbury Hall. It's an eye-catching medieval black & white half-timber framed house that is steeped in history. Spending a night or two in the grounds of the hall on a glamping break is a real treat for all ages. The gathering of colourful huts is in a quiet spot & whilst being rural & rustic they do have all those little luxuries you want. Each one has an en-suite with hot shower & toilet (so no getting lost in the dark trying to find the toilet block!) & a set of double bunk beds (one double bed above the other). The huts are all heated so you're nice & toasty & are kitted out with tea & coffee-making facilities lighting & sockets to charge phones etc. There are no cooking facilities inside but there's a fire pit outside & you're welcome to BBQ. But in all honesty with the Hall's restaurant (open for breakfast & lunch) & Dottie's Wafflery plus the plethora of local eateries in the village you won't be wanting to cook anyway. What you will want to be doing during your glamping break is visiting & sightseeing. This part of Preston is very rural with lovely farm shops country parks & the River Ribble running through the Lancashire countryside. Of course you must make sure you take time to visit Samlesbury Hall itself with regular guided tours events & activities all of which are free. Our special tip if you go with the kids: take torches & explore the grounds after dark. It's great fun. Then in daylight don't miss the playground & the mini golf then go & say hi to the rescue animals that also live on the estate. We think going glamping in Lancashire is a great way to spend a weekend or a midweek break. Don't forget each hut sleeps up to four (kids or adults) so they represent great value for your money too. Being heated & insulated they're open all year round so you can be a happy glamper in any season! ...
