This imposing Arts & Crafts style mansion was built as a 'calendar house' that's to say 365 windows 12 chimneys 52 rooms seven main doors & four wings. It has a fascinating history & is the centre piece of this 65 acre estate totally dedicated to outdoor activities & personnel development specifically aimed at teens. Whilst you will be lodged in a quiet corner with just seven wood cabins in total there are plenty of things for all ages to enjoy in & around this New Forest estate. Free activities include the trim trails woodland paths bouldering wall the kids playground & outdoor shelters. Payable locally you can book in for an archery session hire bikes go climbing conquer the high ropes learn about bushcraft build a raft build a shelter or scare yourself silly on a zip wire. If you fancy getting out on the water there's a delightful boathouse & lake with pedalos kayaks canoes & even fishing spots too. There's even an outdoor swimming pool that's heated & open between April & October so if you time your trip to Avon Tyrrell right you might be able to go for a dip too. In essence this is a break for active bunnies. & yes you're in the middle of the New Forest but all lodges have access to wifi there's a reception & shop too with a cafe that opens seasonally so you're not completely cut off from the world. & with so much to do on the estate & Highcliffe beach just seven miles away we think this is a great place do have fun & try some new outdoor activities hosted by the Avon Tyrrell team! ...

This Yorkshire skydiving drop zone is offering you tandem jumps. These are by far the most popular activity they do as it means you can experience the amazing sensation of the free fall without having to train for days beforeh&. As you are physically attached to your instructor with a tandem harness there's no way you'll be going anywhere solo so a 20-30 minute ground briefing is sufficient to explain what will happen on your skydive & what you'll need to do or not do as the case may be. All that clear in your head as soon as you walk out of the briefing room the expectation & adrenaline kicks in & you completely forget what was just said. No panic the friendly instructor team here in Bridlington is always very good at constantly communicating & telling you what's going on

Of course once the door is opened & the green light goes on it's time to get down to the serious business of sky diving. All safety checks repeated it's that moment. Lean out as far you can & away you both tumble. For around 30 incredible seconds you will experience the indescribable feeling of free fall before the main chute is deployed & you float gracefully down from around 5000ft. This is the moment you (and your eyeballs!) will have recovered from your life being in a spin for a few seconds & you'll be able to appreciate the charm of Bridlington below you.
