These New Forest wood-clad cabins are basic but spacious lodges that sleep six complete with a twin bedroom & two bunk bedrooms. The key to these breaks is where these lodges are located. You're in the New Forest National Park proper nestled in the grounds of Grade I listed building Avon Tyrell. This imposing Arts & Crafts style mansion was built as a 'calendar house' that's to say 365 windows 12 chimneys 52 rooms seven main doors & four wings. It has a fascinating history & is the centre piece of this 65 acre estate totally dedicated to outdoor activities & personnel development specifically aimed at teens. Whilst you will be lodged in a quiet corner with just seven wood cabins in total there are plenty of things for all ages to enjoy in & around this New Forest estate. Free activities include the trim trails woodland paths bouldering wall the kids playground & outdoor shelters. Payable locally you can book in for an archery session hire bikes go climbing conquer the high ropes learn about bushcraft build a raft build a shelter or scare yourself silly on a zip wire. If you fancy getting out on the water there's a delightful boathouse & lake with pedalos kayaks canoes & even fishing spots too. There's even an outdoor swimming pool that's heated & open between April & October so if you time your trip to Avon Tyrrell right you might be able to go for a dip too.
