Founded in 1824 & now owned by the Morello Brothers, Destilerias Pico has spent over a century & a half developing & fine tuning one of the most decadent liquors in the world. Having researched a vast supply of different cocoa beans, the Morello brothers eventually selected the now famous Guayaquil cocoa bean of Ecuador, renowned for its complex aroma & suitability for distillation. The process starts by toasting the beans, followed by trituration, maceration & finally distillation yielding a liquor of exquisite flavour & taste.
