This very special whiskey heralds a second coming of Irish single malt thats been a long time coming. After almost a century of blends defining Irish whiskey, Glendalough brings you a 13 year old single malt that has put in the hard yards. The style of whiskey that first made Irish whiskey great. The style of whiskey your great grandad drank. & a stylish whiskey whose time to be great is once again. It comes to you with hints of spice, creamy vanilla, biscuity malts, & that unmistakable clout of dedication that embodies the outstanding spirit of Irel&. The nose is deep butterscotch, honeycomb & rich lemon meringue balanced with citrus fruits & just a hint of a clove spice. The taste. Jumps to the front with an intense vanilla fudge luxurious sweetness & almost rock candy mixed with touches of fruit
- lemon citrus, peach & dried apricot. This is followed by deep spices; red peppercorn & light cloves. A truly velvety mouth feel that just hovers on the palate. The finish. The spice is left lingering with under-layers of robust malt characteristics & deep oak notes. & again vanilla fudge reoccurs with a finish that lasts an eternity.

This single grain will blast the cobwebs off the Irish whiskey category. A new & unique style of light & floral whiskey distilled in a Coffey still (like whiskey, another great Irish invention!) from a mash bill of Irish malted barley & corn. It spends three & a half years in American oak first-fill Bourbon barrels before being finished for six months in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The nose is slight but undoubtedly rich with dark fruit; cherry, raisin, fig (with Christmas pudding notes on the nose for those lucky enough to know what that is) along with floral lemongrass & a touch of nutmeg. The taste is sweet & creamy on the palate, with butterscotch, honey & peppercorn bringing along sweet Bourbon Cask notes with dried fruit returning through notes of maraschino cherries & a pinch of brown sugar. The finish has lingering notes of ginger spices with a faint glimmer of almond to end a complex Irish Whiskey from start to finish. ...

This is a gin unlike any other. Even from year to year, it will differ from the previous batch. Each season they go out into the wilds of the Wicklow mountains & forage with their botanist friend, Geraldine. They pick what grows & distil with it the very next day. This is the garden of Ireland in a bottle. Even when you look into the bottle you can see the place it has come from
- with each bottle having a landscape photo taken on the day of our foraging. This is a gin with not only a sense of place, but a sense of time too.

Long before there was Irish whiskey there was poitin {potcheen}. Every distilled drink across the world from rum to gin, to vodka or absinthe, you name it, can trace its ancestry straight back to poitin. Nose: Slight in nature & might fool you. If you didn't know better you might sense a faint Riesling fragrance, no less. Oak, berried fruit, gooseberries & blackcurrants are in there. The Mountain Strength holds true with that extra headiness of the high alcohol. Where as a slight zest of orange & blueberry sweetness comes through in the Sherry Cask Finish. Taste: Creamy & mellow in the mouth & hangs on the tongue with a trace of lychees. There are hints of black, cracked pepper, especially so in the Mountain Strength. Some dried fruits show up in all three poitins, with dried apricots featuring in the Sherry Cask Finish. Touches of vanilla & toasty oak throughout also. A very full flavoured poitin that goes down nicely. ...

To make this very special, small-batch Gin they completely re-balance their Wild Gin recipe & redistill it with extra fruit, flowers & spices... &, of course, a lot of fresh rose petals. Glendalough - Foraged Seasonal Winter Gin 70cl Bottle

This is a gin unlike any other. Even from year to year, it will differ from the previous batch. Each season they go out into the wilds of the Wicklow mountains and forage with their botanist friend, Geraldine. They pick what grows and distill with it the very next day. This is the garden of Ireland in a bottle. Even when you look into the bottle you can see the place it has come from - with each bottle having a landscape photo taken on the day of our foraging. This is a gin with not only a sense of place, but a sense of time too. While the spring gin is a fresh mix of young green shoots, wild botanical leaves and flowers, the summer gin tastes like a meadow in bloom, with amazing floral flavours and light early fruits. Autumn is as you'd expect, only even more so. Packed with
wild fruits and berries, it's the bounty of the surrounding mountains bottled. And we won't lie, our Winter gin is a tough one to get out. Some years we can't even make a batch, it completely depends on what kind of winter we get.
