No garden should be without these sunny flowers. fulgida var. sullivantii Viette's Little Suzy
- Showy medium-yellow flowers on green foliage which turns to a beautiful mahogany in autumn. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Flowers July-September. Height 65-85cm (26-34); spread 38cm (15). Supplied in a 9cm pot. Adrian Bloom says... I have used this great Rudbeckia in almost every garden I have created. Amazingly it was raised as long ago as 1936 in Germany, Goldsturm (translated literally as storm of gold) is still in my opinion in the top 25 of all perennials. A north American native, this Black Eyed Susan is very hardy, adaptable & forms mats of glossy green leaves, followed by black coned, golden petalled flowers for weeks in late summer. Best in sun where not too dry. Associates well with blue Agapanthus or Geranium Rozanne & Sedum violet Emperor.
