The Bruichladdich distillery is owned by the 3 Harvey brothers who built the distillery in 1881. The Harvey family has over a century of whisky distilling ownership in their family. The single malts are made from Scottish barley & when it comes to maturing the single malts, the boys at Bruichladdich use a variety of different wooded casks. These perform the vital task of allowing the evolution of the spirit by way of subtle & complex interactions between the micro-oxidation of the whiskies flavour compounds.
