Aged in Spanish Jerez casks, the Macallan 12yo, by some, is described as the best 12 year old single malt around. On the tongue, the Macallan 12yo is slightly sweet with hints of honey, plum & vanilla. The finish, as you'd expect is, lingering & smooth with a slight spice note. We say the Macallan 12 year old has very few, if any, rivals. It's a shame Macallan are discontinuing the product, therefore we've limited it to 1 per customer, sorry! ...

The Macallan Ruby is a fantastic bottle that is complex, subtle & full of different characteristics. On the nose it exhibits accents of European oak before reluctantly admitting rich, dried fruits & an edgy tickle of treacle. A hesitant sweetness enters, then oak reasserts itself, burnished & mature. The palate possesses a rush of ginger, nutmeg & resin herald orange, sultana & raisin with their restrained but pervasive sweetness. Clove is here & gone, leaving oak the undisputed maestro. The finish is long, lingering & reflective. ...

Macallan Amber 1824 Series Whisky 70cl

The amber spirit is polite, also apologetic at first, with a floral, citrus sweet nose that gains presence, commanding a chorus of sweet vanilla notes over freshly harvested grain. Raisin, sultana and cinnamon look on as toffee apples and candy floss step into the limelight. On the palate, fresh green apples and lemons mingle with cinnamon. Ginger notes hover as fruit takes over, with subtle oak lingering in the wings. The final is light to medium, with soft fruits and cereal, slight dry.
