The soil is volcanic & granitic with sun exposure, NW & NE. Altitude us 150m-250m. The grapes were handpicked during the first two weeks of May, the wine underwent 100% barrel fermentation, 80% in new French oak for 18 months & is unfiltered. A deep black cherry colour with complex aromas reminiscent of ripe red berries, spices as anise, white pepper & black licorice in harmony with mocha & toasty aromas. As fateful as the aroma is, there is also a balance & freshness, an energy that allows the wine to be very playful & precocious, accented by the spice of habaneras aroma. The mouth presents a great front-to-back seamlessness, with fine continuity & length. What gives this wine its length is the vibrant acid & balance tannins. Pleasing with an agreeable finish. Enjoy with seafood, salads & goat cheese. ...

Aromas of bright cherry & red berry with hints of cool climate cranberry framed in whips of smoky peat hearth fire. Flavours are bright, with firm acid structure supporting the same fruit tones perceptible in the aroma
- very persistent! The finish lingers with long, late acid backbone carrying the red berry late into the aftertaste.

Casa Noble only makes 100% agave tequila from blue agave grown organically (certified USDA) on 650 hectares of their own land in the hills of Jalisco. A succulent native to Central America, it thrives in this arid climate & high altitude sites. Pale gold in colour, the anejo has rich aromas of dried fruit. Toasted oak, spice, butterscotch & sweet cooked agave characters make this a delight to sniff & sip. Aged tequilas show aromas developed from their maturation in oak, such as vanilla, almond, sweet melon & honey overlaying the gentle vegetal notes from the blue agave. ...

Casa Marin - Syrah Miramar Vineyard 2010 6x 75cl Bottles

For the Syrah Lovers, this is probably a welcome and unexpected version of a Chilean Syrah. As Jancis Robinson mentioned, I would hate to get this wine in a blind tasting, as I would put more towards Northern Rhone. There are very few Syrahs that dare to go so far in their acidity and go towards the herbal heights of the variety. This is the perfect reflection of the terroir of Lo Abarca. The nose is floral and shows red fruits and spices such as fresh white & black pepper. On the palate, it is delicate, with elegance and a firm acidity, full of red fruits. A must try Syrah from Chile!
