For the Syrah Lovers, this is probably a welcome & unexpected version of a Chilean Syrah. As Jancis Robinson mentioned, I would hate to get this wine in a blind tasting, as I would put more towards Northern Rhone. There are very few Syrahs that dare to go so far in their acidity & go towards the herbal heights of the variety. This is the perfect reflection of the terroir of Lo Abarca. The nose is floral & shows red fruits & spices such as fresh white & black pepper. On the palate, it is delicate, with elegance & a firm acidity, full of red fruits. A must try Syrah from Chile!
