The restoration of the building, its gardens & its vineyards took 10 years. Alain Dominique Perrin is not only a fan of wine, he is also a serious business man, - he used to be the CEO of Cartier & made the brand an essential in the world of luxury. The Chateau Lagrezette has allowed Alain Dominique Perrin to combine his two passions: a love of beauty & the creation of exceptional products. The consultant oenologist is the famed Michel Roll&, & Robert Parker, who has awarded many high ratings to the Malbecs of Lagrezette, has described them as the ' Quintessence of Cahors'. Chateau Chevaliers Grezette, a subtle blend of 91% Malbec, 12 % Merlot, & 2% Tannat. Harvest happens mannually. The wine is matured in new oak barriques for 9 to 12 months
Colour: deep red. Nose: lively red berry fruit aromas & licorice notes. Palate: a supple attack & a nice texture with blackberry, black cherry fruit. A very balanced wine with smooth tannins & a long, harmonious finish. Fantastic with BBQ, steaks & lamb shank. This long-aging wine can be kept for 8 to 10 years, getting better all the time.
