Chivas Brothers first created Royal Salute as a tribute to the finest aged Scotch whiskies to Queen Elizabeth II, to celebrate her coronation. It was a mark of respect to the new Queen, & the 2, 500 initial decanters were filled on the day of her coronation, the 2nd June 1953. Royal Salute continues to pay tribute to noble leadership in all walks of life to this day. In 2012 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be celebrating her Diamond Jubilee
