Limited Edition! The story of Dom Perignon is a story of constant reinvention & each Vintage is a new beginning. Always a vintage champagne made from grapes grown in the same year. The wine truly expresses itself when the Chef de Cave brings it to the surface, when it leaves the darkness of the cellars to express living power. Dom Perignon Vintage 2004 Rose has been re-discovered & brought into the light & is now delivering this expression full of life & singularity. The 2015 Creator's Editions have been formed in partnership with Bjork & Chris Cunningham, whom have crafted the distinctive limited edition as a way to reinforce the indissoluble link between earth & emotion. Together, the Creators envisioned a shining beacon of exuberant earthly green light for the Blanc, & pink for the Rose, that shines down on the bottle from above, visually piercing the glass with its glow. The shards of light that escape from it echo the feeling during the vintage's tasting, bearing witness to the unequivocal sensation that crosses the mind as Dom Perignon's champagne penetrates the heart, & warms it in its unique & indefinable light. ...

On the nose: The bouquet is mesmerizing, ripe, & complex. The opening notes are a blend of dark spices & cocoa which develop very quickly into fruit aromas. Fruit reigns supreme, with roasted fig & apricot & candied orange. The overall effect exudes smoky accents. On the palate: The fullness of the wine is immediately striking. Its intensity & succulence set the tone through the sweetness & crisp punch of the flavours. The silky mouthfeel melts into a smooth, tight, & grainy structure with just a hint of vegetable flavours. The wine expresses an appealing brininess & saline character. ...

Alain took over the running of the Michaud family domaine in 1973 & has steadily bought up small parcels of vines, increasing vineyard ownership in Brouilly & Morgon from 5 ha. to 12.5 ha. today. Some of the vines that provide fruit for his Brouilly date back to 1920 (50% are over 50 years old), producing wines with remarkable richness. Each parcel is picked & fermented separately, maturing for several months in old oak. Only then are the best parcels blended before bottlings twice a year: Easter & at the end of the summer. Michaud's Morgon is sourced from equally old vines. ...

Located in the south of Burgundy, in the Maconnais region, the Pouilly Fuisse Appellation is situated where the relief becomes more marked, around the rocky cliffs of Vergisson & Solutre-Pouilly, on the slopes of Mount Pouilly & the cirque of Fuisse, on the Beauregard plateau & the heights of Chaintre. ' Les Cras' is a wellknown ' Climat' located on the windy & chalky plateau of Beauregard, from the village of Solutre-Pouilly. The thin, shallow soils lie on Jurassic calcareous layers. Some clay veins appear here & there. The name ' Cras' means chalk in our local dialect. Chateau de Beauregard owns almost 4 ha of ' Vers Cras' & produces about 10 000 bottles of this prestigious Pouilly-Fuisse. The aromas & the flavours reveal the mineral (chalk) & the vegetal (fern, boxwood). Here, the Terroir overpass the fruit expression. The finish is balanced & rich. This wine is complex & subtle. The best moment to drink this wine depends on the natural acidity of the vintage. In the best vintages, our Pouilly Fuisse ' Vers Cras' evolves more than 10 years when stored properly. Food matching Serve between 12 & 15 Deg C in fine crystal glasses. ' Les Cras' will enhance scallops, grilled or 'en sauce' fish, poultry (poulet de Bresse a la creme), 'quenelles' & 'andouillettes' & of course goat cheese from the Maconnais. ...
