A large part of the area of production of Nebbiolo from Barolo & Barbaresco is also the most suited to produce an excellent Dolcetto d Alba. Already in 1600 this variety was widely planted in the Langhe & Monferrato & gave birth to a wine that the literature of the time indicated as being consumed daily by a refined clientele.
