Colour: Dark crimson. Bouquet: A lifted bouquet of blueberry & dark plums with hints of rosemary & spice. Palate: Complex & layered, this dense & opulent Shiraz displays blueberry & spice with a lick of licorice, finishing with long, fine tannins. Grapes were harvested cold from a single block. After pre-ferment, maceration ferment proceeded to extract all the desirable colour & flavour. The wine was gently drained to new French Burgundian oak &, after 18 months maturation, the result is a soft wine with a rich, seamless palate. Viticulture Frankland River has a growing reputation for Shiraz & the 2006 vintage was cool & long giving the grapes an opportunity to show their delicate yet powerful & intense characters. This wine epitomises all the quality of Shiraz that we seek to enjoy.
