A dark ruby colour, with a mix of gooseberry, mulberry together with layers of black tea & black pepper. With silky tannins & tobacco notes & with a long, dense & solid finish. Will have a friendly ageing. The grapes of this wine come from low fertility soils & high density plantations, where the roots can extract the minerality & freshness of the rocks of our terroir. The vineyards are carefully pruned & together with a strict control of the vigour a very low irrigation is carried out, thus expressing the origin. The yield is a kilo per plant, just enough to produce a bottle of wine. At the exact moment of maturity, & after a hand harvest, the grapes undergo a strict selection. The vinification is carried out in small tanks in order to softly extract the best aromas, flavours & tannins. After the fermentation the wine is oak aged for 18 months. The bottling is carried out with no filtration. This wine has a cut of Malbec & Carmenere, in order to balance the intensity of the tannins of our Cabernet Sauvignon as well as adding elegance & velvetiness. The Koyle Royale Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine that can be kept up to 10 years but that can also be served today after a half hour decantation.
