Pike Creek is matured in a warehouse in Pine Creek, Ontrario, Canada, which is non climate-controlled, with no electricity in an erratic northern weather system which has dramatic seasonal swings in temperature, where the barrels shrink in the coldest of winters, & swell during the hot summer months. Deep red – in colour with aromas of super ripe blueberry, plum & blackberry Shiraz fruit with some dark chocolate & licorice notes as well. These are all complimented nicely by a touch of charry French oak somewhere in the mix. The palate is soft & powerful with flavours of blueberry, plum & charry oak overlaying a core of dark chocolate running through the mid palate. Silky tannins on the finish adds length & a little structure to the ripe, plush fruit. A lovely example of Clare Valley Shiraz. No problem in enjoying this as a youthful wine, but as usual 4-7+ years will see some development occur in the wine & amply repay those like more complex aged characters in their reds. ...

Medium density, bright red Aromas, typically dark cherry/blueberry fruit & just a hint of dried herbs. Some subtle oak aromas deliver an enticing amalgam of aromas. Again this is absolutely typical of this noble Tuscan variety.
