Light ruby colour with a pink & violet hue. Intense fruity bouquet with notes of strawberries, cherries, dry fig & raisins. Palate offers nice tannins followed by a pleasant acidity & round full mouthfeel.
Colour: Red with a violet & pink hue. Nose: Distinctly fruity, offering strawberries, cherries, figs, ginger & fruit drops. Typical of wines produced in the Vittoria area. Palate: Medium bodied & dry, fruit driven with a supple, long finish. Very fresh & fruity, the tannins are never overpowering. Strawberries, cherries & figs abound on this fresh & supple snapshot of Mediterranean Island life. Drink on release & for up to 3 years. Flavoured dishes such as stewed fish, white meat dishes & soft cheeses. The grapes were harvested on the 30th September & immediately destemmed & crushed before spending 8 days macerating on the skins. After racking, the wine underwent a full malolactic fermentation in steel tanks before bottling during March of the following year. Grape: 60% Nero d' Avola & 40% Frappato.
