Corenwyn is a special type of jenever (a Dutch style of gin) that is known in English as grain wine. The name corn wine refers to the high proportion of distilled malt that is used in the blend for this particular drink. To be termed corenwyn the blend in question needs to be at least 51% malt. This high proportion of malt gives corenwyn jenever a taste profile that is closer to a fine blended Scotch whisky than anything else. This particular corenwyn is aged for 6 years in French limousin oak casks that add notes of pine & vanilla to the taste.
