Tullibardine 1965 was distilled in 1965 & bottled in 2005 making it a 40 year old whisky. The aroma provided by this whisky is punchy & rich with notes of nut olds & aniseed. Soft apple peels & hints of chewy sultanas are followed by notes of mocchaccino & rich chocolate enrobed fruits. The palate is full & rather robust. Tullibardine 1973 is a single malt whisky from the Highland region of the Scotl&. This bottled was distilled in 1973 & bottled in 2004 giving it an age of 31 years old. It is distilled in casks that previously held sherry & was then bottled at natural cask strength. On appearance, the colour is a bright gold colour. On the nose it is of medium body & well-balanced. There is a crisp note of acacia honey & honeycomb, barley sugar & toasted cereals with notes of cut herbs. The palate is quite light & medium bodied. There are notes of cut straw & floral flavours with hints of caramel & barley followed closely by honey. The finish has a medium length to it & is dry with more floral & oak notes. ...

The Tullibardine distillery is one of the youngest Scottish distilleries. It was founded in 1949 by the architect William Delme-Evans & C.I. Barrett. In 1953 the Tullibardine distillery was sold on to Brodie Hepburn Ltd, who are whisky brokers from Glasgow. In 1971 the Brodie Hepburn Ltd was bought by Invergordon & then again in 1993 it was bought by Whyte & Mackay. In 1995 the Tullibardine distillery mothballed & wasn't opened again until 2003. This Whisky was distilled during the Brodie Hepburn Ltd reign of the distillery & it is bottled at cask strength. The nose of the whisky is medium bodied with notes of pine & hints of polish & cut grass. Barley sugar & mint encrusted chocolate follows the grass & consumes it. On the tongue it is full & firm, there are flavours of aniseed & salty melted butter. A thick custard note follows with a touch of apple peel & hay. The finish is very long with notes of cereals & aniseed with an oaky flavour that lingers at the back of the throat. ...
