The soil is volcanic & granitic with sun exposure, NW & NE. Altitude us 150m-250m. The grapes were handpicked during the first two weeks of May, the wine underwent 100% barrel fermentation, 80% in new French oak for 18 months & is unfiltered. A deep black cherry colour with complex aromas reminiscent of ripe red berries, spices as anise, white pepper & black licorice in harmony with mocha & toasty aromas. As fateful as the aroma is, there is also a balance & freshness, an energy that allows the wine to be very playful & precocious, accented by the spice of habaneras aroma. The mouth presents a great front-to-back seamlessness, with fine continuity & length. What gives this wine its length is the vibrant acid & balance tannins. Pleasing with an agreeable finish. Enjoy with seafood, salads & goat cheese. ...

Aromas of bright cherry & red berry with hints of cool climate cranberry framed in whips of smoky peat hearth fire. Flavours are bright, with firm acid structure supporting the same fruit tones perceptible in the aroma
- very persistent! The finish lingers with long, late acid backbone carrying the red berry late into the aftertaste.
